The love of art is a family affair with Peggy Taylor, her son Brice and grandson Tatum. The Corning Beautification Committee has named the trio as the July Artists of the Month. Peggy has always loved art and painting, although she said doesn’t do it as much now as when she was younger. She credits Joyce Royal Curtis, her high school art teacher, as her inspiration. Brice loves to create art as well and shares his artwork with others. “I guess Brice followed my love for art. He loves to color the pictures with black negative space,” she said. “Tatum, my grandson, wanted to follow our lead and display a dinosaur picture.” The public may view the Taylors’ artwork on display all month at the M.B. Ainley, Jr. Community Center.
