Trevor and Becca Barajas of Corning announce the birth of their daughter, Holland Young Barajas. Holland was born in Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital at 10:03 a.m. on April 5, 2023. She weighed 9 lbs. 12 oz. and was 22 inches long. She was welcomed home by her older brothers, Harrison, 4 and Hatcher, 2. Holland’s grandparents are Robin Young and the late Bill Young, Stacey and Jeff Battles of Maynard, and Matt and Jennifer Barajas of Michigan. Her great-grandparents are Ruth Fleming of Corning, Glen Young of Knobel and Patricia Bledsoe of Datto, Robert and Ernestine Barajas of Flint, Michigan.

Norma “Jean” Johnson turned 91 years old on October 28 while her sister, Betty Sue Woods turned 77 on Nov. 16. Betty Sue and husband, Chuck traveled from Kansas to visit the Johnsons in Corning and the Dunn sisters celebrated their birthdays on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the home of Jean and husband, Melvin.

Sally Brown celebrated her 96th birthday at her home at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2022. Family members attending were Mark, Sarah, and Tyler Green, Danny Lynn Crossno, John Brown, and Lonnie and Susan Green. Sally was born in Cardwell, Missouri to Othar and Bettie Griggs.
