Shirley Patricia Crawford of Reyno passed from this life on Saturday, January 8, 2022, surrounded by her family at the age of 82.

Shirley was born December 13,1939 in Reyno, Arkansas to the late Thomas L. and Alta Overby Cherry. She retired from Clay County Electric after forty-two years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Reyno Methodist Church, where she served as the pianist for many years. Additionally, she was a member of Chapter 494, Corning Order of Eastern Star. Shirley enjoyed reading, painting and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas L. Cherry Jr., Robert N. Cherry, Hanley E. Cherry, William L. Cherry, Jerry D. Cherry and Margaret E. Ungerank.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband, of sixty-two years, Jackie Crawford; daughter, Cherry Ellen Sanders and husband, Roy of Austin, Arkansas; granddaughter, Jacqueline Cherry Jones of Austin, Arkansas; bonus granddaughter, Andrea Sanders of Austin, Arkansas; and three bonus great-grandchildren, Dante, Zoey, and Ozzy also of Austin, Arkansas. Other survivors include sister, Phyllis Burrow and husband Larry of Reyno, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 6-8 PM in the McNabb Funeral Home chapel in Pocahontas. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 11 AM also in the McNabb Funeral Home chapel with Roger Hovis officiating. Interment will follow at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno.

In lieu of flowers, Shirley’s family asks that memorials be made to Nelson Cemetery.

Larry Burrow, Roy Sanders, David Ungerank, John Ungerank, Andrew Burrow, and Daniel Barnhart will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Ungerank.
