Shirley McFarlin, 85 of Corning passed away February 28, 2022 at home.

Mrs. McFarlin was born June 29, 1936 in Nutbush, TN. She was a homemaker and Avon representative. She loved to paint, go bowling and spend time with grandchildren and family. Shirley was a member of Red Hat Society and Grassylead Church of Christ in Corning.

On March 31, 1957, she married Sidney Earl McFarlin. They were married 60 years prior to his death on November 14, 2017.

Survivors include her daughter, Tonya (Bryan) Johnson of Pocahontas; grandson, Carson Cole Johnson; great-grandchildren; Jaxon, Caroline and Calliope Johnson; brothers-in-law, Larry Gardner of Soginaw, TN, Larry (Shelia) Darr of Jonesboro and Leonard Darr of Mountain Home; sisters-in-law, Norma White of Corning, Mary Pelts of Mountain Home and Dorothy Collier of St. Louis, MO; daughter-in-law, Mackenzie Johnson, special friends, Gunel Storey and Sharon Long; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Toby McFarlin; parents, Paul and Linnie (Ray) Green; brothers, William and Floyd Green; and sisters, Florence Walker, Gloria Johnson, Ann Gardner and Hattie Green; and grandson, Justin Johnson.

Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be Sunday at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
