Rev. Loy Culver, 85 of Piggott, AR., passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Rev. Culver was born in McDougal, AR., on August 24, 1938. He served as pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, AR., for many years, he was a master piano tuner and he enjoyed woodworking.

On November 22, 1956 he married Shirley Ann Rowland, they celebrated 66 years of marriage before her passing on March 23, 2023.

He is survived by his children, Jacqueline (Chuck) Barnard of Burleson, TX., and Mike (Sue) Culver of Carrollton, TX.; and 16 grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Raymond and Opal Oma (Holcomb) Culver; sisters Oleita Young, Oneda Cox, Cleo Canon and Genevieve Gillman.

Visitation was held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church in Pollard, AR. Funeral service followed at 11:00 AM with Rev.’s Matthew Collier, Don Settles and Chuck Barnard officiating. Burial followed at Post Oak Cemetery in Mc-Dougal, AR. www.ermertfuneralhome. com
