Mrs. Rayo Veach Edwards, 95 of Corning, passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at River Mist Assisted Living in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Mrs. Edwards was born December 7, 1926 in Lost Cane, AR. She was the owner and admin istrator of the Corning Nursing Home, along with her husband Russell from 1956 to about 1996. Rayo enjoyed painting pictures and decorating with flower arrangements for Grace Baptist Church where she was a member for over 50 years.

On August 17, 1947, she married Frank Russell Edwards. They were married 32 years prior to his death on February 17, 1980, exactly 42 years before her.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Jane Edwards Crismon and husband, Mike of Poplar Bluff Missouri; daughters-in-law, Dianne Meeker and Linda Edwards; brother, Jimmy (Janie) Veach of Manila; grandchildren, Chad (Andera) Edwards, Kristie (Lance) Duck, Ricki Ann Crismon (Kelly Moss), Kerri Lyn Edwards (Doug Reed), Cody (Tara) Crismon, Russell (Andrea) Crismon, Bud (Deanna) Langston, Matthew (Lisa) Edwards, Clint (Michelle) Meeker, Adam Meeker, and Tyler Gaines; 19 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren that she adored seeing and spending time with; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her sons, Frankie Meeker, Kerry Edwards and David Edwards; parents, Roy and Letha (Rice) Veach; brothers, J. R. and Bobby D. Veach; and sisters Joyce Veach and Theo Brady.

Visitation will be conducted Monday, February 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 11:00 A.M. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 A.M. at Corning Cemetery with Rev. Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery in Corning.
