Mr. Ray McDowell, 82, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at home. Mr. McDowell was born on December 2, 1939, in Piggott, AR. He had worked for the City of Corning, in the street department, and also Johansen Brothers Shoe Factory. He enjoyed working around his house. He was a veteran who had proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

He married his wife of 59 years Anna Louise (Clarkson) McDowell on June 2, 1962, she survives. Other survivors include sons Derek McDowell and wife Grace of Frisco, TX., and Gavin McDowell and wife Laura of Jonesboro, AR.; sister Tootsie Spears; grandchildren Derrica, Gavin Trent, Copper and Rees.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Eva Lee (Rogers) McDowell; brothers Wayne, Norman, Larry and James; sisters Doris, Omagene, Joyce and Diana Jo.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
