Patricia Kirby, 79, of Corning passed away August 31, 2023 at home.

Mrs. Kirby was born May 13, 1944 in Hickoria. She worked with her husband up until she retired. Pat loved crafts, attending craft shows, sewing, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She enjoyed watching Fox News. She was of the Baptist faith.

On September 25, 1960, she married Glen C. Kirby. They were married 56 years prior to his death on Dec. 10, 2016.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Edward) Burns and Angie Craft, both of Corning; grandchildren, Steven (Joni) Burns, Tina (Steve) Cullum, Mallory (Rodney) Young, Tricia (Steven) Peterson, Chris Fitzgerald and Abbie Bodie; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Caleb Burns, Alexis and Cayden Tribble, Katlyn Graham, Josslynn and Jacob Brown, Bobby, Declan and Greyson Young, Jace Ermert, Paci Kanaday and Emma Fitzgerald; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bonnie (Cole) Clayton and grandchildren Brian Fitzgerald and Jaden Farmer.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 1 to 2 p.m.at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
