Norris Boyd

Norris Boyd, 95 of Knobel passed away December 30, 2022 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning.
Mr. Boyd was born September 17, 1927 in Knobel Arkansas. He was a truck and auto salesman, he retired from Matthews Hargreaves Chevrolet in Pontiac Michigan where he was awarded the Hall of Fame for salesmanship for several years in a row. He then retired and moved back to his hometown of Knobel Arkansas to the family farm. There he enjoyed yard work and collecting antique cars and trucks. Norris was a Korean War veteran who proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of VFW Rapert Poyner Post and the American Legion in Knobel. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Corning.
Survivors include his brothers Cleitus (Patricia) Boyd of Corning, James Buford Boyd of Alpine Texas and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Earl and Ella Alice (Smith) Boyd; and brothers Neil, Conrad, and Travis Boyd.
Visitation was held Tuesday January 3, 2022 at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning from 1p.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Kevin Simmons officiating. Burial will be at Bond Cemetery in Knobel.
