Max Roy Raney, age 60 passed away January 31, 2022 at his home in Pollard, Arkansas. Max was one of eight children born to John Henry and Mazie Juline (Ervin) Raney. Max was a retired pipe fitter and millwright. He loved to hunt and fish, work on cars, and woodworking, but most of all he loved being with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father: John Henry Raney, two brothers:

David Raney and Roger Raney, one sister: Kathy Raney, and one step granddaughter: Makenzie Nottingham. He survived by his mother: Mazie Juline (Ervin) Raney, one daughter: Emily Juline (Raney) Nottingham and husband Nathan, two brothers: Johnny Raney and Robert Raney, two sisters: Janet Murrell and Lesia Simpson, grandchildren: Ashton Reed, and Caleb Nottingham, step grandchildren: Kyle Nottingham, Cody Nottingham, and Seth Nottingham, and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Irby-Mitchell Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Services will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel. Interment will take place at Mars Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family.
