Mamie Jewell Adams, 97, of McDougal, Arkansas, passed away January 26, 2023, at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

She was born on September 5, 1925, in Naylor, Missouri, and was the daughter of Jess Vincent and Alice (Campbell) Rigdon. She was a member of the Apostolic Fellowship Church in McDougal.

Mamie was united in marriage to Woodrow Adams and to this union four children were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Adams; daughters, Judy Knauts and Teresa Miller; brother, J.V. Rigdon; sisters, Daisy Robinson and Edna Roark.

Mamie is survived by her daughter, Carol (Bobby) Brown of Mc-Dougal, Arkansas; son, Kevin (Pam) Adams of Piggott, Arkansas. She is also survived by grandchildren: Ryan Brown, Dana Gossett, Daniel Gossett, Jr., Jason Miller, Dustin Miller, Adam Miller, and Cynthia Adams. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Jeremy Brown, Jordan Brown, Trey Gossett, Elise Gossett, Emma Gossett, Kayla Gossett, Kadyn Miller, Halen Miller, Matthew Miller, and Seraphina Miller; great-great grandchildren, Brantley Brown, Harper Brown, and Everett Brown. Also survived by brother, Delmar “Sonny” Rigdon and sisters, Melda Karnes, Fern Bartlett, Barbara Demay, and Loretta Blankenship; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services was held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel in Piggott, Arkansas, with Herb Ellis and Terry Parrish officiating. Burial is in Post Oak Cemetery in Mc-Dougal, Arkansas. Pallbearers: Ryan Brown, Daniel Gossett, Jr., Jeremy Brown, Dustin Miller, Cynthia Adams, and Jordan Brown. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
