Soon the happy sounds of children splishing and splashing in the newly renovated city pool will be heard as the project on the Corning swimming pool continues. Jason Liau, owner of JRL Construction, LLC took advantage of the nice weather last week and operated a backhoe to line the bottom of the empty pool with rock. Liau stated the initial thought was that the pool would be 5 feet deep, but said now the water in the pool will be approximately 8 feet deep toward the middle when it is completed. JRL Construction was granted the bid to construct the pool for the City of Corning. Photo/Pam Lowe
