This frame building was located on the East side of the main line of the Cairo and Fulton Railway in the center of Main Street when the town was laid out. The town was still known as Hecht City and the depot was Carpenter’s Station, honoring the first ticket agent. The depot was typical in pattern and paint, yellow and brown, of all the depots on the Iron Mountain Line.
