Justices Patrick Patterson, George Lowe and Randy Kingston look over information concerning the first ordinance of the year, Ordinance 2023-01, an ordinance amending the 2023 Annual Operating Budget and transferring $2 million to the General Fund. The $2 million appropriation will be shown as an expense of the ARPA Revenue Replacement Fund and as a revenue for the County General Fund. This transfer of funds will make the total 2023 ARPA Revenue Replacement Fund appropriation $428,699.67. The transfer of ARPA funds allows the county to use the monies as it deems necessary. The January 17 meeting was the first meeting of 2023 and the first meeting for newly elected JPs, Neal “Poppy” Smith, George Lowe and Randy Kingston.
