The Corning tennis team represented CHS in the District tournament and the girls walked away as District Champions on Thursday, Sept. 29 at Allen Park Community Center in Jonesboro. Kenlie Watson won 1st place in Girl’s Singles; Whitley Bolen and Katie Hampton won 1st place in Girl’s Doubles; Presley Martin won 3rd place in Girl’s Singles; Jayden Brickley and Josie Woolard won 4th place in Girl’s Doubles; and Duncan Tyler and Clayton VanPool won 4th place in Boy’s Doubles. Coach Annie Williamson was named District Girls Coach of the Year. Watson, Bolen, Hampton and Martin will represent CHS at the State tournament in October.
