The Corning boys track team captured the 2A-3 Conference Championship on Wednesday, April 30, racking up 223 points to secure the title and top Cross County. The meet, held in Pocahontas, served as the state qualifier for Class 2A, with the top two finishers in each event advancing to the state meet scheduled for May 6 in Gurdon.
Corning High School alumni will have the opportunity to relive their glory days on the court as the school hosts an alumni basketball game on May 10.
Kelly Morris Samons of Corning, Arkansas, was recently elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society, at Arkansas State University.
The Corning Bobcat boys basketball held a Golf Scramble on April 19. The tournament was deemed a huge success according to the organizers. They would like to thank the participants and all the sponsors that helped make it possible.
