Coach Jerry Songer reaches 500 career wins
In the spirit of the holiday giving season, Corning girls basketball coach Jerry Songer handed off any personal praise for reaching the 500 career coaching victory mark in last Thursday night’s 56-30 home victory against Gosnell.
Robinson participates in ultramarathon
The Sunset 24 Hour Endurance Run in Benton, Arkansas, after Thanksgiving Day, is one of the three ultramarathon races for which former Corning resident, Maurice Robinson has focused all of his train-ing in the last two years. Two other two races were out-of-state.
Bobcats fall to Osceola Seminoles; 59 – 49
Monday, Dec. 12 the Bobcats hosted Osceola for a tough matchup and ultimately fell short of a win.
