The Corning varsity boys basketball team improved to 12-7 overall and 6-4 in 3A Region 3 with an impressive 77-71 home victory over Gosnell on Tuesday night. The Bobcats have won five straight, including consecutive wins against Piggott, 71-66 last Tuesday in Piggott and 68-65 in the home tournament last Saturday.
The Corning girls basketball team will visit Gosnell on Monday and Malden Tuesday, as the Bobcats continue their outstanding season and push towards the post-season. Corning defeated visiting Harrisburg 47-19 last Thursday, running its overall record to 16-3.
