The Lady Bobcats traveled to Tuckerman to face the Melbourne Lady Bulldogs in Regionals on Thursday, May 4. The Lady Cats fell behind early and couldn’t rebound in a 16-1 loss. Corning struggled to contain the Lady Bulldog’s high-powered offense, giving up 16 runs.
Brady Russom, son of Brandon and Jessica Russom of Corning recently competed in the April Amateur Trapshooting Association Tournament at the Jonesboro Shooting Sports Complex. .

Corning Senior Whitley Bolen played in the 16th annual 2023 Sun Senior Classic All Star game on Sunday, April 23 at Bearcat Arena in Brookland at 1:30 p.m. Bolen was selected to play in the Sun Senior Classic among future college basketball players, All-State and All-Conference selections. She played for the Blue Team which won against the White Team; 90-80.
Senior Day for the Lady Bobcats was Thursday, April 20 at 4:15 p.m. Seniors Jayden Brickley, Madison Vanderberg and Morgan McCallister were presented plaques and softballs signed by teammates by Coach Jerry Songer in recognition of their dedication to the team and the game of softball. Following the ceremony the Lady Bobcats faced the Pocahontas Lady Redskins.
