The Corning Bobcats traveled to Manila on Friday, January 5 losing in a heartbreaker by a score of 52-48. The loss drops Corning to 10-6, 4-1 in Conference. Jayce Couch was lead scorer for Corning with 13 points. Luke Blanchard scored 12 points and Roman Davis put up 11 points.
It was a big Conference win in Overtime for the Lady Bobcats as they battled Manila at home on January 4 making their record, 11-4 Overall and 5-0 in the Conference. Scoring for the Lady Bobcats were Presley Martin with 18 points, Olivia Compton contributed 16 points, Kenlie Watson shot 11 points, Addison George provided 9 points, and Katie Karr and Celene Pankey each added 5 points.
The Corning Bobcats kicked off 2024 with a win on Tuesday, January 2 against Ridgefield Christian in Jonesboro. The Sr. Boys beat Ridgefield by a score of 66-40. This moved Corning to 10-5, 4-0. Luke Blanchard and Jayce Couch tied for lead scorers with 16 points. Reid McMasters scored 14 points.
Thursday, Dec. 28 the Bobcats took on Marked Tree at 12 p.m. in the NEA Tournament in the First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro. The Bobcats lost 66-34. The loss placed Corning at 9-5, 4-0. Lead scorers for Corning were Jayce Couch with 16 points and Luke Blanchard 10 points.

Corning Lady Bobcats traveled to North Pemiscott on Dec. 19 and earned their 10th victory of the season. The Lady Cats improved their overall record to 10-5 and conference 4-0. The win extends their winning streak to 9 games in a row. Scorers for the Lady Cats were: Olivia Compton 16 pts, Katie Karr 14 pts, Celene Pankey 7 pts, Avery Glasgow 7 pts, Symantha Riley 4 pts, Leslie Dobbins 4 pts, Katie Zimmer 3 pts, Taytum Whitley 3 pts, Abby Staggs 2 pts, and Kilee Burkheart 2 pts.
Tuesday, Dec. 12, the Corning Bobcats walked away the victors against Maynard at the Maynard Classic.

Corning Sr. High Bobcats defeated Clearwater by a score of 69-55 on Monday, Dec.
The JV team beat Clearwater; 55-44 with lead scores made by Haydon Cox who made 24 points and Peyton Cartwright scored 13 points. .
