Pam, I just read your amazing commentary on the significance of wonder in the Richfield Reaper. I really enjoyed it and completely agree with you! This is why I enjoy being around small children-- Everything is new and so wonderful and even just smiling at them sometimes makes them just beam! It is also one of the reasons I love taking my mother for rides in the mountains or other beautiful places.

For your reading enjoyment, we continue to publish Rambling Vines by the late Marylea Vines as she recalls events and names of Corning folks from many years ago. We are currently in the year 1990 Last Tuesday it turned off so warm that I decided to get my heaviest coat cleaned… ready for the next blast of cold air.
Senate to consider appointees
The Senate Committee on Rules, Resolutions, and Memorials will meet 15 minutes upon adjournment of this week’s Arkansas Legislative Council meeting to consider 93 appointments made by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The Senate will then meet five minutes upon adjournment of the Rules committee to consider its recommendations.

This week, the House Public Transportation Committee and the Senate Transportation, Technology, and Legislative Affairs Committee heard testimony from the Arkansas State Police and the Highway Police concerning the prevalent issue of driving in the left lane.
Response to Family History Book Leads to New Deadline
Response to the Clay County, Arkansas – History & Families 150th Anniversary book has been great with more than 100 family histories already received. Many expressed a need for more time to prepare their family histories, so the 150th Anniversary Book Committee of the Clay County Genealogy & Historical Society and Acclaim Press have agreed to extend the deadline for submission to January 31, 2024.

When in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people… I am sure we all recognized this to be the beginning of the document that placed the 13 colonies as the base for what is now our United States of America. It goes to express that all men (and women) are created equal, with certain inalienable rights, which among these are Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness.
