The Corning Bobcat Football team will hold the Grip It 7 rip it Benefit Golf Tournament on July 19. This is a 4-man scramble. The will be a 50/50 raffle, paid flights and a $100 hope sponsor. The cost will be $350 if sponsoring a team and hole. Officers with the Corning Police Department conducted a probation search Friday at a residence on East Hazel Street, resulting in the arrest of a local man on drug-related charges.

The Corning boys track team captured the 2A-3 Conference Championship on Wednesday, April 30, racking up 223 points to secure the title and top Cross County. The meet, held in Pocahontas, served as the state qualifier for Class 2A, with the top two finishers in each event advancing to the state meet scheduled for May 6 in Gurdon.
A Corning man was arrested Tuesday following a domestic disturbance on West Main Street, according to the Corning Police Department.
