On Saturday evening at 6 p.m. the community came together to mourn the loss and celebrate the memory of Isabella Brasfield, Tara Calhoun, and Michelle Braman at a candlelight vigil in Wynn Park. The vigil was organized by Heather Hodge and officiated by Bro. Douglas Dobbins of First Free Will Baptist Church.

October Artist of the Month

On September 27 the Corning High School Marching Band performed at the Pirate Invitational in Gosnell, bringing home four 1st place trophies in the Class A division for the categories of Color Guard, Percussion, and Band. The theme for 2025 is “The Golden Age of Rock” featuring songs from The Rolling Stones, Warren Zevon, and The Eagles.

I would like to announce my intent to run for the office of Clay County Judge. I take pride in being a lifelong Clay County resident and having ties to all three districts. I believe, as we are at a pivotal time for the county, that under the right leadership - we can look ahead to a bright future. Please join me in fighting for the future of our great county.
