In the busy environment of a school district, many individuals contribute to the success and well-being of our students. I want to take a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on some of our most vital heroes: our school custodians.
Clay County 4-H Youth Leadership Citizenship Team members showcased their talents and dedication during Youth Day at the Clay County Fair. Twenty-one youth leaders volunteered at the fairgrounds, partnering with the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission and the Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum to present an interactive program titled “4-H Reel into Arkansas Sport Fishing.”

The Corning Bobcat Homecoming Royalty for 2025 was announced recently. The homecoming festivities will be held on Friday, September 26. The Bobcats will take on the Rector Cougars that evening at 7 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come out and support your Corning Bobcat football team.
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) held a public meeting in Pocahontas on August 26 and Corning on August 28 to discuss and receive public input about the floodplain study.
On Tuesday, August 26, Clay County 4-H youth members volunteered as servers at the Annual Farm Bureau Board Meeting Dinner. Clay County Farm Bureau Board President Mark Coleman presents the 4-H members that volunteered a donation for their service.
