There are two types of people in this world: those who enjoy a peaceful, uneventful lunch break and those who, despite all intentions, end up sprinting through ditches chasing sheep. My work buddy, JA, and I fall into the latter category. We don’t look for chaos—it finds us. It finds us in minivans (RIP Wild Cherry), in cemeteries, in mysteriously scented neighborhoods, and in the occasional misplaced trash can attached to a wheelchair. The latest? Sheep. Seth Smith started the scoring right off the beginning jump with a three-pointer for Corning but Denton Singley answered with a bucket for Maynard. A Reid McMasters put back and a Smith jump shot stretched the Bobcat lead to 7-2. But Maynard would hang tough and by the end of the first quarter the Tigers had cut the lead to 1716.

The holiday spirit was in full swing this past Saturday as Christmas in the Park returned to Wynn Park, marking its 28th year as one of Corningâs most cherished traditions. The annual event, which began in 1996, continues to captivate the community, drawing families, friends and visitors for an enchanting evening filled with festive lights and holiday cheer.
