The Bobcats READ mobile book bus library is hitting the streets, thanks to a generous grant from the SOAR (Strengthening Our Arkansas Rural) program. This grant has made it possible to equip the book bus with stateof- the-art technology and resources, ensuring that it can provide a high-quality educational experience for all children.

VFW responds to needs of local seniors

Following the recent announcement by the Black River Area Development Corporation (BRAD) that economic conditions have forced them to reassess and reduce the number of seniors in their meal program, the Rapert- Poyner VFW Post #8347 took action by donating $500 to the BRAD Corning Senior Wellness Center on Friday, Oct. 11.

ADE Releases School, District Test Results

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Department of Education released school and district results today from the first administration of the Arkansas Teaching, Learning, and Assessment System (ATLAS), which replaced ACT Aspire, the previous assessment. Students took the new ATLAS assessments in the spring, and for the first time ever, parents will soon have access to their child’s scores through the parent portal and can begin conversations with their child’s educators regarding supports to elevate learning.
