As you awake this morning you have a new president-elect if you live in America. As I write this on Oct 26, all I can do is hope.

On October 25, 2024, the Corning Police Department, Corning Fire Department, and Clay County Sheriff’s Department enjoyed spending the morning at Park Elementary School speaking with the students. The encounter allowed students to learn about emergency service vehicles that are utilized around the City of Corning and Clay County.

Voting is a civic duty that bears remarkable consequences in every election. The right to vote didn’t come easily, especially for people of color, women, and Indigenous people, who had to fight for the right to vote.
