Clay County 4-H Youth Leadership Citizenship Team Little Rock Trip
On October 21st, the Clay County 4-H Youth Leadership Citizenship Team participants from Corning, Piggott and Rector High Schools toured the State Capitol in Little Rock joined by Arkansas State Representative Jeremy Wooldridge. Then, at the 4-H Center in Ferndale, they attended a Real Colors personality session to understand themselves and others with Carrie Stark while discussing their service-learning project with Clay County Extension agent Christin Holmes.

Smith receives Dr. Mossie Richmond, Jr., Outstanding Leadership Award
Black River Technical College’s (BRTC) Vice President of Student Affairs Jason Smith, J.D., was awarded the Dr. Mossie Richmond, Jr., Outstanding Leadership Award by the Arkansas Student Affairs Association (ArSAA).
Unregistered sex offender arrested
On November 11, 2024 officers with the Corning Police Department were made aware of a possible unregistered sex offender living in the city limits of Corning. After an investigation was completed a Felony warrant was issued for the individual.
