Arkansas State Police are investigating a crash that claimed three lives late Wednesday night in Clay County.

I’m really excited to share something new we’re doing here at the Clay County Courier that I think will make a big difference for our community. It’s called the Community Insider Business program, and it’s all about connecting our local businesses with the people who love supporting them most, our loyal subscribers.

Nearly everyone knows someone whose life has been touched by breast cancer; a mother, sister, friend or neighbor. This October, the Clay County Courier is giving the community a chance to honor and remember those brave individuals.

On September 27 the Corning High School Marching Band performed at the Pirate Invitational in Gosnell, bringing home four 1st place trophies in the Class A division for the categories of Color Guard, Percussion, and Band. The theme for 2025 is “The Golden Age of Rock” featuring songs from The Rolling Stones, Warren Zevon, and The Eagles.
On Wednesday, October 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m., a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a motorcycle traveling north on Highway 139 near Pollard.
