Sanders Statement on LEARNS Act Ruling
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.âIn response to Judge Rudolfskyâs ruling on the lawsuit against the LEARNS Act, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders released the following statement: âThis news is a step in the right direction. In less than two years, the LEARNS Act has transformed Arkansas education for the better by raising teacher pay, investing in literacy, and banning indoctrination. I look forward to this latest court challenge being struck down just like all the others.â
Governor’s Holiday Food Drive Collects Nearly 21,500 lbs. of Food
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. â Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders today announced that her state agency-wide Holiday Food Drive collected 21,472 lbs. of food, all of which has been donated to the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance. The Arkansas Department of Corrections collected the most food out of all state agencies: 6,975 lbs. donated. The Arkansas Department of Inspector General collected the most food per employee: 13.6 lbs.

The Arkansas State University Fall Commencement took place Saturday, Dec. 14 at First National Bank Arena.

Corning Police Department receives Naloxone donation to combat opioid crisis
On Dec. 20, 2024, the Corning Police Department received a generous donation of two cases of Naloxone Nasal Spray, commonly known as NARCAN, from Moving the Mountain, a faith-based substance abuse prevention program.
