The 1876 Corning Express on Display at the Courier Office
This August 12th, 1876 copy of the Corning Express has been preserved in a microfilm collection at Arkansas State University and has been recovered for the benefit of Clay County history. Modern microfilm machines allow users to create high quality PDF images of documents. All 8 pages of this edition of the Corning Express have now been digitally preserved so that the public and local historians can have access to it. In an effort to make this material more publicly available and to promote local history, Ryan Carter commissioned Malone Custom Designs to print all 8 pages in high quality on foam boards to be displayed at the Clay County Courier office where visitors can read all the news fit to print 149 years ago.
