Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Little Rock, Ark. - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) BreastCare program coordinates efforts with a statewide network of providers offering no-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings and follow-up services.

STIP includes I-57 project from MO state line to WR

The Arkansas State Highway Commission recently announced the release of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) for Federal Fiscal Years 20232026. One of the projects of particular interest to Corning residents is the I-57 project from the Missouri state line to Walnut Ridge. Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Facilities Authority Executive Director, Graycen Bigger announced the exciting news during the Intermodal’s monthly meeting at Clay County Electric in Corning on Thursday, Sept. 29. Bigger explained that the STIP is the State Highway Commission’s Bible. “If it’s in here, they have to do it. And both I-57 from the stateline to Walnut Ridge and the Pocahontas bypass did make it.”
