Top 3 spellers earn spots at County Bee

Corning Middle School held the annual district spelling bee on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2022, in the high school auditorium. The participants consisted of grades 5-8. Corning will host the County Spelling Bee this year. DMC celebrates 50 years

The Doni Martin Center for Developmental Service, Inc. (DMC) is a tribute to the vision of founder Doni Martin, who had the seed of an idea to serve individuals with disabilities in the underserved areas of Clay, Randolph and Lawrence Counties. That idea has grown to into a nonprofit that currently serves 90 individuals and has approximately 75 employees.

Arkansas Medicaid eligibility review expected to start in January – DHS officials

The Arkansas Department of Human Services is ready to “unwind” Medicaid coverage for thousands of Arkansans who gained access to the health insurance program when the federal government declared a public health emergency in 2020, officials said Friday. The public health emergency (PHE) declared at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic will likely end in January, with an announcement expected in the next week, DHS officials said during a media briefing.
