During the regularly scheduled meeting on Thursday, May 11, the Peach Orchard city council set the date for two public hearings for Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 7 p.m. at the Peach Orchard Community Center. The hearings are to discuss raising the water rates mandated by ACT 605 and to receive comments on the finished Paving Grant from the Arkansas Community & Economic Development Program (ACEDP). Residents of Peach Orchard and those interested in the city’s progress are encouraged to attend.

Clay County Quorum Court met in regular session on Monday, May 15, at the courthouse in Piggott with all justices present. Justice Dennis Haines made a motion to suspend the reading of the previous meeting with Justice Patrick Patterson seconding the motion.
