4th & Vine hosts Sunday evening VBS

4th & Vine Church of Christ in Corning held a Sunday evening Vacation Bible School on June 18 in conjunction with the Center Hill Church of Christ in Paragould. Kiefer Ramsey, Youth Minister at the Center Hill collaborated with 4th & Vine minister, Gary Hill and church members, Aaron Brown and Terry Gleghorn to host the program. The theme of the VBS was “ Rise Up and Build”. Ramsey said, “The theme and idea for most of the decorating and infrastructure came from our very own Amanda Yates. She was really the brains behind most of the organization and glamor of this event. We landed on the theme “Rise and Build” for two fold reasons: 1. It happened to be a driving theme for some of our teens for the Lads to Leaders program we participate in. 2. We thought it was exactly what would be beneficial in lifting up our brothers and sisters that meet at the congregation there at 4th and Vine. In preparation for the event, a group of 17 Center Hill church members came to Corning on Saturday, June 17 and began decorating and knocking on doors in the city of Corning. Ramsey explained, “We went from 1st to 11th streets and hit many of the streets in between. From the very start, we were all very pleased with the interactions and down to earth nature of all the people we encountered. He stated the community was very receptive.”
