Clay County students on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s Lists for the fall 2023 semester at Arkansas State University have been announced. The lists recognize undergraduate students who achieved the highest grade-point averages while completing a minimum of 12 credit hours of study.
LITTLE ROCK—The Arkansas Center for the Book at the Arkansas State Library announces that the 2024 If All Arkansas Read the Same Book program will feature Patti Callahan Henry’s novel, “The Secret Book of Flora Lea” (New York: Atria Books, 2023).

Both lunar and solar eclipses have provided the basis for superstitions as well as a challenge for scientists and astronomers throughout the ages as they tried to predict when and where each eclipse would occur. EARLY RECORDINGS For ancient cultures, solar eclipses were important and noteworthy events, with the first recorded descriptions of them happening more than 2,000 years before the Christian era (B.C.E.) in China.
Congratulations to 4C for being the winning class of the Make A Wish Money Week at Park Elementary. Park Elementary was able to collect a grand total of $3,454.50 for Make A Wish. The students enjoyed a pizza party and celebrations.
