Wildlife of Arkansas student art contest open for submissions

Submissions are now open for the 2025 “Wildlife of Arkansas” student art contest. This contest is free and open to all Arkansas youth in grades K-12. This is an excellent opportunity or young artists to explore the wonder and beauty of Arkansas’ native wildlife, wildflowers and landscapes through their creativity and skill. Deadline to enter is March 31. For more information and to submit your original artwork, visit www.arwild.org/art-contest. Winning artwork selected for each grade. Art teachers are encouraged to invite their students to participate.

Pumpkin to Talk About

Fourth graders at Park Elementary recently selected a book, read it with family, and created their favorite book character using a pumpkin. Then, they completed a book report and presented it to their class.

The Corning School District met on Monday, October 16, 2023, in the boardroom with all members present. Following the approval of minutes, board approved the financial report presented then entered into executive session for security and personnel matters.
