BRTC Announces New GED Scholarship for Fall 2022

POCAHONTAS, AR Jan. 7 – BRTC is excited to announce that longtime Randolph County educator Willa Jenkins and her husband, owner of Jenkins Welding, Kenneth Jenkins are offering a $400 scholarship to students who have graduated with their GED from BRTC’s Pocahontas Adult Education Program and are enrolling in the welding or nursing programs. Kenneth and Willa’s children are BRTC graduates, earning degrees in welding and nursing.

CBC selects January Artist of the Month

The Corning Beautification Committee brings in the New Year featuring the artistic talent of Corning High School senior, Alicia James as January Artist of the Month. “I have been doing art most of my life,” said the young artist. “My favorite mediums to use are pencil and colored pencils.” Her future plans are to attend Arkansas Tech University and continue her studies. The public is invited to view her art during the month of January at the M.B. Ainley, Jr. Community Center.
