Crossno awarded High Points Exhibitor in Jackpot Series

Danny Lynn Crossno has had quite the summer racking up awards while participating in FFA shows with her goat, Hardy. Most recently she participated in the NEA Summer Swelter Jackpot Show Series, a three-show series in which Crossno walked away with two Grand Champions, two Senior Showmanship Champions, and one Reserve Grand Champion, plus all the High Points Exhibitor awards during the series. Earning the High Point Exhibitor awards means she had the highest number of points out of all the other senior showmen in the 3-show series because of her winnings. She not only won it for having the best goat, she won it for being the best at showing her goat also.

Crops Field Day tour for West Clay County – Aug. 22

All involved in corn, rice, & soybean production are invited to attend the annual West Clay County Field Day Tour which will be held Monday, August 22. The tour will showcase demonstrations of new corn hybrids, new soybean varieties, and new rice variety performance. Extension specialists will be on hand to give production updates. In addition, seed company representatives will provide information about their products.

BRTC announce President and Dean’s Lists

Black River Technical College announces its Spring 2022 President and Dean’s Lists. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 college credit hours excluding developmental courses, not be on any type of probation, and must have a minimum grade point average of 4.0. To be eligible for the Deans’ List, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 college credit hours excluding developmental courses, not be on any type of probation, and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5-3.99.
