Carlos Lester

Mr. Carlos Lester, 80, of Corning, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Randolph County Nursing Home in Pocahontas. Mr. Lester was born in Corning on December 15, 1941. He was retired from the Arkansas Highway Police where he served for 33 years. He was also a former Corning Police Officer and an electrician. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a certified fire-arms instructor, he enjoyed woodworking, electronics, camping, building model ships, and flying drones. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Corning.
He married the love of his life Mrs. Bobbie J. (Tanner) Lester on April 29, 1961, she survives. Other survivors include his sister, Linda S. Powers of North Carolina; niece, Charla Foster; nephew, Glendal Boyd; several other nieces and nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlos Ezra and Lyna Belle (Pringle) Lester.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jeff Crain officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 13, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
