Godwin competes in State Cross Country Championship Race
Zoey Godwin, a freshman at Maynard High School, placed 6th in the 1A Girls 5000 Meter at the 2024 Arkansas State Cross Country Championships in Hot Springs on Nov. 8 with a time of 22:39.60.
Hudson completes CLEST
On Nov. 14, 2024, Officer Cody Hudson completed a training program designed for part-time law enforcement officers in Arkansas, requiring him to complete 120 hours of approved coursework through the state’s Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) to maintain his certification as a part-time officer.
Corning PD visits Head Start
On October 30, 2024, the Corning Police Department visited the children at BRAD Head Start and Virginia Atkison Early Head Start. The visit allowed the children to interact with a police officer to build positive perceptions of law enforcement and an appreciation of the role of police within the community.
