The election is finally over, and if you’re like me, you’re running on fumes. Take a moment to rest.
On October 21st, the Clay County 4-H Youth Leadership Citizenship Team participants from Corning, Piggott and Rector High Schools toured the State Capitol in Little Rock joined by Arkansas State Representative Jeremy Wooldridge. Then, at the 4-H Center in Ferndale, they attended a Real Colors personality session to understand themselves and others with Carrie Stark while discussing their service-learning project with Clay County Extension agent Christin Holmes.

Last Thursday, the Administrative Rules subcommittee of the Arkansas Legislative Council (ALC) was set to consider a pair of rule changes that could affect the future of the Buffalo National River and its watershed, but the members of the subcommittee chose to hold off consideration till December. The pair of rules include one from the Arkansas Department of Agriculture that would limit public notice of new permit applications for livestock and poultry farms to the department’s website.
