Community Expo slated for March 18

There will be a Community Expo on March 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the M.B. Ainley Jr. Community Center. The event will be a business expo and a health and career/job fair. 1st Choice Healthcare will be providing free vision and hearing screenings. The Mobile Workforce Center will be providing employment services, Pocahontas Medical Clinic will provide free glucose, blood pressure and BMI screenings, while Piggott Health System will be providing free stroke risk screenings. The Corning Park Elementary Gifted and Talented will be selling treats, crafts and scented products at the event.

Corning Chamber of Commerce set to hold Saturday Night Bingo

The Corning Chamber of Commerce will host Saturday Night Bingo on March 8 at the MB Ainley, Jr. Community Center with games starting at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Cash prizes for each game. Winner takes all for the last game of the night. The March special includes one book of games for $25 or grab two books for only $40.

School counselors offer students a variety of services including mental health counseling, career planning, and often serve as the first line of defense against situations of abuse or neglect. School counselors make a world of difference in the lives of students and staff.
