Teens and preteens interested in babysitting can gain essential skills through the Babysitting Basics course, offered by the Clay County Extension Service. The program, designed for youth ages 12 and older, will be held at the Piggott Public Library, 361 W Main Street, on April 9, 10, and 11 from 3:30 p.m.to 5:00 p.m. each day. Attendance on all three days is required to receive a certificate.

The Corning School District will host a spring immunization clinic for eligible students on Wednesday, April 30, in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). The clinic is open to students who are currently due or will be due for routine vaccines by the clinic date.
