AGFC to hold public meetings on Dave Donaldson Black River renovations

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will host two public meetings Feb. 10 in northeast Arkansas to address plans for future renovations to Dave Donaldson Black River Wildlife Management Area and other waterfowl- focused areas. The first meeting will be 9-11 a.m. at the Pocahontas Junior High gymnasium at 2405 N. Park St. It will be followed by a meeting from 2-4 p.m. at the Nettleton High School Cafeteria at 4201 Chieftain Lane in Jonesboro.

Conditions Turn Right in Nick of Time

The water and frigid weather arrive for strong finish to waterfowl season. It was nearly a season- long wait, but the habitat conditions that Arkansas waterfowlers were waiting for finally arrived.

Corning teams beat CRA to advance to FNB Tournament Finals

Corning Boys and Girls Basketball Teams advanced to the Finals of the First National Bank Tournament by defeating Crowley’s Ridge College in the Semi-Finals on Saturday, January 20. The Lady Bobcats defeated the Lady Falcons by a score of 63-28 to advance to the First National Bank Finals to face the Maynard Lady Tigers.

McMasters named Player of the Game in FNB Tournament

Reid McMasters earned Player of the Game for his performance in the Corning vs. Ridgefield Christian game in the First National Bank Tournament on Saturday, January 20. McMasters scored 23 points and was instrumental in the Corning JV victory over Ridgefield; 61-48.

Karr named FNB Player of the Game in Semi-Finals

Lady Bobcat Katie Karr’s performance during the semi-final game vs. Crowley’s Ridge Academy in the First National Bank Semi-Final game earned her the title of Player of the Game. Karr scored 10 points to help advance the Lady Bobcats into the Finals against Maynard.
