LITTLE ROCK – The Arkansas sales tax holiday this year will be on the first weekend in August, Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and 4. Consumers will not have to pay sales tax on any articles of clothing that cost less than $100.

Artist exhibit spotlights former Corning resident

The artwork of Annette Pettit, a former resident of Corning, is the spotlight of an Artist Continuum Exhibit at Rapp’s Barren Brewing Company in Mountain Home. Her exhibit opens with an artist meet-and-greet on Wednesday, July 24 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Mountain Home’s first brewery and gastropub. Her artwork will be on display until mid-September.
