CBC celebrates Grades 8-9 Dist. Fair winners
PIGGOTT - Hemingway- Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center in Piggott will host a poetry workshop featuring Dr. Rob Lamm, associate professor of English at Arkansas State University.
On a recent Saturday in Arkansas, acclaimed actor and activist Wendell Pierce delivered a powerful message: He urged Black men to exercise their right to vote.
This past week, all eyes have been turned to our mountain neighbors in North Carolina and Tennessee. Hurricane Helene dropped its horrible bomb right in the middle of the Appalachia region, creating destruction of biblical proportions.

CHS Sr. High Homecoming
Last Friday, our Junior and Senior High teams played Rector at CHS stadium. In our first game of the night, our Junior High tied Rector 6-6 in a game that was played with steady rain and wind. We got down early and then battled back to tie the game in the second half. In our last series of the game, we had a chance but just could not capitalize for the winning touchdown.
