Lynden Weldon Kamerman

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in humility that comes from wisdom. James 3:13 Lynden Weldon Kamerman, Sr. was a man of wisdom; his life exemplified in the book of Proverbs. Throughout the book, Solomon shares that those who get wisdom love life, that it’s better to get wisdom than gold, and that those who get wisdom find life and receive favor from the Lord.

Those who get wisdom love life. Lynden enjoyed each season of life. Watching and encouraging his young “boys” as they participated in the many sporting events by coaching from the field or from the bleachers, providing a little competition during practice (not letting them win to JoAnn’s dismay), and celebrating their many victories. He loved life through the success of his “boys” in their adult lives and loved sharing those stories to those close to him.

Those with wisdom have something better than gold. Lynden’s years as an insurance agent, real estate agent, and finally a bank vice-president provided him with a strong business and financial foundation. He served as sounding board for the “boys” or extended family when major life decisions had to be made. Those decisions were always made with the deepest sense of integrity.

Those who get wisdom find life and receive favor from the Lord. Lynden found life with his beloved JoAnn since they were high school sweethearts and remained by her side for 67 years. They shared together a wonderful and joyful life raising the “boys” and the neighborhood kids along with loving the grandchildren and great-grandchildren from afar. He loved the Lord and raised his voice in praise and worship, singing in the church choir. Lynden spoke quietly and confidently that “it will all work out for the good in the end.” He guided many as a Deacon for many years as he served the Lord with gladness.
