Mabel Irene Herren Niswonger, 92, Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 in Puxico Nursing and Rehab of Puxico, MO.

Born February 15, 1929 to Charley and Esther Pounds Herren of Corning, AR. She married Edward Niswonger April 16, 1948 in Corning. She was a member of the Palace of Praise Church in Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed fishing, having family outings and going to church.

She is survived by husband, Edward of 73 years; children, Sharon (Dave) Tate, Jerry Niswonger, Patricia (Robert) Buczek, George Jr. (Pam) Niswonger, Pamela (Milton) Castro; several children and grandchildren; sister, Rita (Elmen) Kopka of Flint, MI, Fred Herren of Rector and John (Velma) Herren of Corning.

Preceded in death by parents, oldest son, Glenn Niswonger; son-in-law, Brad Waltrip; granddaughter, Jennifer Stroud and grandson, Paul Waltrip; nine siblings: Charles Herren, Bonnie Miller, Doug Herren, Linda Soltow, Charlene Robertson, Emily Exelby and infant brothers Orville, James T. and Terry Herren.
