Earl Madison Harmon

Earl Madison Harmon, age 64, departed this life on December 31, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Earl was born on May 26, 1957, on a rainy day in Corning, Arkansas, at the Cash Clinic to James Earl and Mary (nee) Eubanks Harmon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Harmon. Earl is survived by his father, James (Jim) Harmon of Rector, Arkansas; his children, Andrea (Jon) Cooper of Brookland, Arkansas, Doug (Lisa) Harmon of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Amanda Myhre and friend Michael Massey of McDougal, Arkansas. Also sister Lynda (Gayle) Garver and brother Dennis (Debra) Harmon all from Piggott, Arkansas. Grandchildren, Paylee Myhre, Chloe Cooper, Piper Myhre, Katie Cooper, Henry Harmon, and Mary Claire Harmon. And his friend and mother of his children, Sue Harmon of Piggott, Arkansas. Also by many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of wonderful friends. Earl accepted the Lord as his Savior as a young man of the age of 15. Earl was raised on the family farm North of McDougal and continued to farm into adulthood. He also retired from ARI after 20 years with the company. He attended McDougal wing school during his primary years and graduated from Corning High School in 1975. He then attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Earl lived and breathed sports, whether watching or playing. He was a Bobcat through and through and teased him about “bleeding” Black & Gold. He later played softball with the “Infamous” Pollard Ball Team. He has remained friends with all of them, as well as all who have crossed his path. He was also an avid gardener and could produce an abundance for his family and friends. Earl was loved and will be missed. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, Arkansas with Bro. Kevin Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Tony Horner, Greg Ahrent, Roger Baxter, Wes Harmon, Brent Carr, and Mike Vinson. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Miller and George VanNada, Jr. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of arrangements.
